Chrysoprase is a gem variety of chalcedony with trace amounts of nickel — enough to give it its green colouring. It has an energy that flows, not like water but like a thicker liquid, an ooze: slow and intentional, yet still a flow. It is a heart chakra activator, opening the heart to new experiences and working with us to bring a certain joie de vivre into our energy field.

Also known as Green Chalcedony, Chrysoprase belongs to the same family as Agate, Carnelian and Bloodstone — each with its own teaching.

Care

Water-safe. Keep it out of prolonged strong sun, which can fade the green. Cleanse it with sage or moonlight.
