Apatite is a calcium phosphate mineral found in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks around the world. Blue Apatite gets its color from trace elements of manganese and other minerals. It's one of the few crystals that exists in all three major rock types, and it's actually a component of human bones and teeth — making it one of the most biologically connected minerals on Earth. Major sources include Brazil, Madagascar, and Mexico.
